"Holyhead
Sailing Club"
Holyhead harbour is a 'harbour of refuge' with one of the longest breakwaters in the UK, built on Ynys Wellt and completed in 1877. The harbour is safe, substantially tide free and is accessible at all states of the tide, all weathers and all sea conditions. Only in NE gales will crew left aboard a yacht feel uncomfortable. South Stack (Fl.10s) and The Skerries (Fl.(2) 10s+FR) provide clear and unambiguous targets night & day (not to mention the steady flow of HSS ferries between Dublin and Holyhead).
Day sailing and racing in the Bay are popular Summer activies for members, neither of which take them too far from the Club Bar! For the less dependent, Holyhead is a great place to crew up for cruises to all destinations. In-company cruises, offshore and dinghy races and excellent social occasions all form an important part of Club life.

The Club launch is available 7 days a week, to ferry members and visitors between their vessel and the shore.
Simply call "Club Launch" on Ch. 37
At quiet times, the driver will even bring fuel (red diesel) to the boat.
